All incoming and outgoing flights were halted due to an systems problem that occurred at about 08:30.
Several flyers found themselves stranded in jets at the stand as the outage continued.
Flights Resume with Residual Impact
A statement indicated at 10:40 that flights had resumed, and thanked passengers for their "patience and understanding".
However, considerable delays are likely to continue throughout the day. Flights to key destinations like Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, and Bristol have been called off, with a host of additional flights experiencing delays.
An airport representative had earlier anticipated that a significant number of movements could be disrupted.
"Travelers are urged to contact their airlines for the current status on their individual travel plans," was the consistent advice.

Officials linked the operational halt to an technical fault with its ATC service provider.
Passengers should still plan to confirm the details of their trip before departing to the terminal as knock-on effects are cleared.
